Monrovia, Liberia – The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning will this weekend host a three-day Strategic Planning Retreat in Margibi County, aimed at charting a renewed course for effective service delivery and institutional reform.
The Strategic Retreat held under the theme “Transforming Priorities into Strategies: Pathway to Efficient Service Delivery,” will focus on the the Ministry long term strategy, vision and goal as well as strategic priority objectives.
The retreat marks a critical step in repositioning the Ministry to more effectively lead the implementation of the Government of Liberia’s ARREST Agenda over the next five years (2025–2029).
The Strategic Plan will also take into account Liberia’s commitments to key regional and international development frameworks, including the African Union’s Agenda 2063, ECOWAS Vision 2050, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The retreat will bring together the entire senior leadership of the Ministry, including directors, and technical staff, who will engage in intensive strategy sessions, evaluations, and planning exercises to shape the Ministry’s development agenda for the next five years.
