President Boakai Appoints Anthony Myers as Acting Finance Minister
Monrovia, Liberia - President Joseph Nyumah Boakai has appointed Anthony Myers as the Acting Minister of Finance and Development Planning.
The appointment dated July 9, 2024, read: “ Dear Mr. Myers: I am pleased to appoint you as Acting Minister of Finance and Development with immediate effect.
I trust that you will perform your duties as Acting Minister with utmost diligence, courage, loyalty and integrity during this crucial period of transition as we strive to stabilize the economy and put our country on the path to sustained growth, development and prosperity.”
Hon. Myers' appointment follows the resignation of outgoing Finance Minister Hon. Boima S. Kamara, who served his country from January-July 2024.
