Tweah, Jr, has called on employees of the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) to build on the gains plus the gaps of the past administration in order to deliver and promote the Pro-Poor Agenda of His Excellency President George Manneh Weah, that will impact the lives of the ordinary Liberians across the length and breadth of the country.
Monrovia, Liberia - The World Bank has provided its first development support to the new Government of Liberia headed by His Excellency President George M. Weah with the signing of an IDA Grant Agreement amounting to US$ 24.7million between the Bank and the Liberian Government. Finance and Development Planning Minister Hon. Samuel D. Tweah signed on behalf of the Government of Liberia, while World Bank’s Group Country Director for Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone Mr. Henry G. R. Karali signed on behalf of the Bank.
Monrovia, Liberia - In a collaborative effort to promote non-violence and a conflict-free elections, the ECOWAS National Office at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, the National Elections Commission (NEC), as well as the Mano River Union, the Peace Building Office and the Office of the Sustainable Development Goals along with officials of the host counties will be hosting the second phase of civic education and voters awareness exercises from Thursday, December 21-24 2017 in Grand Cape-Mount and Bomi Counties.
