Monrovia, Liberia - The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) along with its partner, UNICEF, is seeking inclusive ideas on the formulation of His Excellency President George Manneh Weah’s Pro-poor Agenda for Development and Prosperity.



Accra, Ghana - The Government of Liberia, through the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, with support from the Liberia Embassy in Ghana, through its Ambassador, H.E. Genevieve A. Kennedy, has conducted a two-day Diaspora Consultative Meeting with Liberians at the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Accra, Ghana, and also with Liberian Business Entrepreneurs at the Liberia Embassy in Accra.
The Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning and Governance Commission with support from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is conducting nationwide national development planning regional consultations towards formulating the “Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development” (PAPD).
On Thursday, May 3, 2018, the European Union Cooperation with Liberia expanded to additional areas of partnership as new programmes were launched for education and civil society for a combined value of EUR 24 million (USD 29 million).

Tweah, Jr at the head of the Liberian delegation at last month’s IMF/WB Springs Meeting in Washington DC, USA from April 16-22 has secured the renewed commitment of USD 210 million from the World Bank Group to support government’s pro-poor development agenda.
