Liberia’s Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Honorable Amara M. Konneh has outlined accelerated progress made towards the country’s security sector in anticipation of taking over from the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL)
The Board of Directors of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) has approved the amount of $256.7 million as the final cost of U.S. Grant to Liberia under the Millennium Challenge Compact program. The grant was approved during the MCC Board’s annual meeting held on 17 September 2015 in Washington D.C. The meeting was chaired by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde says, one of the major interventions carryout by the Liberian government in response to economy recovery and becoming middle income state by year 2030, is the creation of the Liberia Revenue Authority.

Finance and Development Planning Minister Amara Konneh says government remains focus on an aggressive implementation of its road agenda which seeks to connect major cities and capitals, while working to reconstruct dilapidated urban roads across Monrovia and the rural areas.
